Subject: 2020 All Classmate Reunion Cancellation
Greeting from the 2020 All Class Reunion Chair & Committee. We hope all is well with each of you and your families, and you are practicing “STAY IN PLACE.” Your executive steering committee and I met and unanimously agreed, due to the uncertainly of the COVID-19 epidemic, to postpone and reschedule the 2020 reunion. Each chairperson and their committee members are willing to serve as the Steering Committee for the PHS next upcoming reunion.
All planning activities are on hold. All persons who have per-registered will be issued a refund. By cancelling our reunion plans now, we have ample time to cancel all travel and hotel accommodations.
Several committee members have proposed, depending on the COVID-19 threat and if permissible, a PHS event be held in spring or fall of 2021 or reschedule for 2022, date and time to be announced. Your input will be solicited, and a new plan of action developed. We will update you on the results and announce a new reunion date. Please response to the survey which will be emailed to each of you. Check PHS website for survey info. Thanks, you for the enthusiasm you showed for the 2020 reunion festivities and we are looking forward to our next BIG Reunion CELEBRATION to be announced.

I pray that everyone is well. I wanted to let everyone know and please tell others not on social media, that unfortunately due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation, we will be postponing our reunion in June. We hope to have it at a later time. We realize that we are officially the "Geezer Crowd" and we do not need to be exposed to the virus.
Your Steering Committee will be teleconferencing soon. Hopefully, if you have already made travel and hotel accommodations, you will have time to cancel them. For you who have paid your registration, you will be refunded.

Golf reunion tournament will be held on Friday, August 12th at Ted Rhodes Golf Course starting at 8:00 AM. $75.00 per person green fee and cart. Tournament format is a (4) four person scramble. Registration will start at 6:30 AM followed by a shotgun start at 8:00 AM. Individual prizes will include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards, shot closet to the pin, shot for longest drive and 1 mulligan, $5.00 each person and a LARGE SKIN POT. We invite all Pearl High School Alumni of all years to our Annual Pearl High 70s Decade "Sponsored "Banquet & Party on May 23, 2015. If you graced the halls of our Alma mater with your presence at anytime, then your attendance is required !!!
Purpose: While this annual reunion ultimately honors all Alumni of Pearl's Entire Decade of the 1970s, we recognize the class that has reached a significant chronological milestone with regards to anniversaries such as 40th, 50th, 60th and 70th year ones. During the remainder of this decade we will continue to recognize 40th year milestones. So this year we will recognize the class of 1975 for their 40th year anniversary, while celebrating our Decade and all other classes and years as well.
Beneficiary: We will donate profits to Park Ave. Elementary School. Park Ave. School is a feeder school to present day Pearl Cohn High School. These students are in the"Pearl Cohn Cluster and will greatly benefit from our donation.
These are children that are traveling the same road we once traveled. Recognize the road, then remember the obstacles.

Occasion: 45th Reunion
The Pearl High Class of 1970 will be celebrating its 45th Reunion on June 12-14, 2015. The Friday event will be a Fellowship Fish Fry at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church at 144 Ewing Dr., 37207. Saturday, we will have a dinner cruise on the General Jackson (in private dining area). Our classmate and 2015 Mayoral candidate, Howard Gentry, Jr., will be our dinner speaker. On Sunday, we will worship together at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church. Registration is $50 for Friday, $100 for Saturday. (Deadline for cruise fee is May 29th).
